International conference organised in partnership with ASIC - Associazione Scientifica Italiana di Coniglicoltura (Italian Rabbit Farming Association) - Brescia

At a time when the European Parliament has called for an update of directives regarding rabbit welfare, and EFSA has established two working groups with a focus on rearing and slaughtering, the round table promoted by ASIC is intended to shed light on the actions in place in the main producing countries in Europe. In the now traditional venue of the Fiera di Forlì trade fair, speakers will be invited to outline the policies implemented with regard to rabbit welfare by research and professionals in the supply chain. The change prospects will also be discussed in respect of production specificity in the various countries. Moreover, the principles of the guidelines drafted by the Italian Ministry of Health and the other policies implemented for the poultry industry will be outlined.
